11/10/24 Uptown Bag Class with Dawna Foster
Beginning bag making class for the experienced sewist. You must have a good working knowledge of your sewing machine and it must be in good working order. The instructor is not able to provide trouble shooting for machine malfunction or specific machine use. A heavy duty machine is required for the larger bags. Light weight travel machines are not a good option for this class.
Red Boot Retreat is a smoke and vape free facility. Children, babies, and pets are not allowed. Registered service animals are always welcome.
Registrations cancelled at least 30 days prior to the start of the retreat will receive a full refund. Cancellations less than 30 days from the start of the retreat will not receive a refund unless you find someone to take your spot or if it can be filled from the waitlist.
Out of consideration for the many people who are sensitive to scents, please do not use perfumes, scented lotions, scented starch products, or essential oils.

| Skill Details: | This class is geared for the confident sewist with little or no bag making experience although, those who have previously made bags will benefit from Dawna's tips and tricks as well as her inspiration for putting together colors and fabrics. Sewing and rotary cutting experience is required. |
| Materials Included: | Student provides sewing machine. Bag pattern and materials listed on the pattern are required for the class. Patterns and supplies are available at Red Boot Retreat and can be ordered online ahead of the class. Choose pick up in store so we can have your materials ready for you.. |
| Requirements: | A sewing machine in good working order is required to participate in this class. Student must have an in depth working knowlege of how to thread, operate and trouble shoot any problems with the machine. Instructor cannot provide machine instruction or assistance with your machine. The machine must be sturdy enough to sew through multiple layers of fusible foam layered with fabric. The student should be a confident sewist with experience using a rotary cutter and their sewing machine. |
